PointBuilds is an independent surveying practice delivering accurate, dependable spatial data to the architecture, engineering and construction industry. From our base in Kent we cover London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and Hertfordshire as standard, and mobilise nationwide for commercial, heritage and infrastructure commissions. Every project — whether a single residential plot or a multi-building campus — is treated with the same disciplined approach to control, capture and quality assurance.

Our topographical surveys are produced using robotic total stations and network-RTK GNSS, tied into Ordnance Survey grid and datum where required. We map levels, hard and soft landscape, services, trees, boundaries and adjacent buildings to the detail and accuracy your designers, planners and engineers need. Deliverables are issued as layered DWG and PDF, structured to your CAD standards or to a sensible default if none is specified.

For existing buildings we offer measured building surveys and 3D laser scanning using Leica and Faro hardware. Floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, GIA/NIA area reports and roof plans are produced from dense, registered point clouds — giving you a single, defensible source of truth for refurbishment, extension, change-of-use, lease plans, party wall matters and dilapidations. Where a BIM workflow is required, we deliver scan-to-Revit models at the LOD agreed at brief stage, with families and naming conventions matched to your project standards.

Drone surveys and aerial photogrammetry add a fast, safe option for larger sites, roofs, stockpile volumes, progress monitoring and visual records. Our pilots are CAA-registered and insured, and flights are planned around restricted airspace, overflight permissions and weather windows so capture is right first time. For interior reality capture we also offer Matterport walkthroughs — a lightweight, shareable record that complements survey-grade data and helps remote stakeholders understand a space without a site visit.
